OpenAsset user group meeting 2005

4th March 2005

Axomic hold the first OpenAsset user group meeting one year after launching the product. The purpose of the meeting was to give the user group network a forum for learning how to use OpenAsset. Clients were also able discuss and contribute ideas on how to improve the software for future versions.

The event was well suppoted with around 35 attendees from architectural practices around the UK. David Appel, IT partner at Feilden Clegg Bradley, kicked the event off with a brief presentation on the history of OpenAsset. He outlined what the practice wanted to achieve when they worked closely with Axomic to develop OpenAsset.

Feilden Clegg Bradley's contribution was supported by other practices who gave presentations outlining how they are using the software. Excellent advice was given on how to manage the implementation project, and how to ensure users are trained and educated when they start to use the software.

Axomic's team then gave a presentation on ideas for future developments of the software. Many of these ideas were the result of dialogue from OpenAsset, clients and there was very a positive reponse from the user group.

The event was a great success. Axomic hope newer clients will implement the many practical tips on how to use OpenAsset. It was fantastic to see everyone in the same room discussing how to improve the management of architectural images, and Axomic look forward to seeing everyone again at the next event.
