Web Services & SOAP

Many companies wish to integrate OpenAsset with their existing systems.

For example, you might have an intranet with a projects database. When you enter a new project code / job number into your intranet you don't want to have to also enter the same information into OpenAsset.

To avoid having to enter the same information in multiple places OpenAsset can talk to your databases, saving you time on day to day routine management tasks.

As standard, OpenAsset comes with APIs for your developers to use. We will provide example code and help them throughout the integration project to ensure everything works smoothly.

The APIs for pushing data into OpenAsset are based on the SOAP protocol, a standard pioneered by Microsoft. SOAP is a language independent way for two programs to communicate, often across a network. SOAP actually uses XML as the underlying format for transporting information, but it is not necessary to deal with the XML directly. All of the common languages have simple ways of working with SOAP, including .Net Java PHP and Perl.

Sample code

For all the OpenAsset SOAP APIs Axomic can provide sample code in the software language of your choice, and support you through the integration and testing process. You are welcome to cut and paste from sample code which can provide a very quick route to integration.
